Noah Weiland is organizing a tribute show to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his father Scott Weiland’s passing. The announcement was shared on Instagram. The event will feature performances of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver classics at the Garden Amp outdoor amphitheater in Orange County, California, on December 3rd.

Noah explained the inspiration behind the tribute in a conversation with Rolling Stone. His former therapist had suggested organizing a gathering to honor his father. This prompted him to develop the concept for the show.

“My old therapist gave me the idea to throw a party, get-together for my father,” Noah said. “I didn’t even realize it was about to be 10 years until he brought it up. My brain started cooking ideas up instantly.”

Noah emphasized the scale and significance of the event in his Instagram post. Tickets are now available for purchase.

“It’s official! There’s no turning back now, and it’s bout to be so far the biggest show I’ve ever performed at yet,” Noah wrote. “Setlist is phenomenal so far, what songs are y’all looking forward to hearing? TIX available now.”

The tribute concert represents a meaningful way for Noah to celebrate his father’s enduring legacy in rock music. Consequence reported that the show will feature both hits and deep cuts from Weiland’s career. This celebration showcases the influential contributions he made to rock music throughout his lifetime.

Noah Weiland has been active in music both as a solo artist and with the band Suspect208, WEDG noted. He brings his own rock and grunge-inspired material to the stage. The concert will also feature Jakob Nowell, son of late Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell, adding another dimension to the tribute event.

Scott Weiland, the iconic lead vocalist of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away on December 3, 2015, at the age of 48. Wikipedia documented that his death resulted from an accidental drug overdose. This marked a significant loss to the rock music community. The upcoming December 3rd tribute will mark exactly ten years since his passing, making it a poignant moment for fans and family alike.

The Garden Amp outdoor amphitheater in Orange County will serve as the venue for this special commemoration. It provides an intimate yet expansive setting for celebrating Scott Weiland’s musical legacy. With tickets now available, the tribute show promises to be a memorable evening honoring one of rock music’s most distinctive and influential voices.
