Noah Weiland, son of late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, has launched a scathing attack on the band and its fans in a series of Instagram videos. This was reported on his Instagram account.

The videos featured Noah responding to critics who had previously targeted him. He mimicked their comments before delivering his own harsh assessment of the current iteration of Stone Temple Pilots.

“Alright here’s my best impression of some of y’all,” Noah said. “You’re saying: ‘Omg, he has the audacity to talk sh*t on Stone Temple Pilots. He’s a nepo baby. He got all his money from STP. I mean it’s not like the only reason STP is still a band in the first place is because it’s a money grab for all their die-hard fans. STP care about fans so much like they would never hire a new singer to try and get more money from fans because they’re all going f*cking broke.'”

Noah then shared his direct response to these critics he had mimicked.

“Really? Is that what y’all think?” he continued. “Y’all want to defend a band who is literally only still a band because they’re ripping you all off and giving you a cosplay of the original band from the ’90s.”

The younger Weiland expressed frustration with what he perceives as the band’s exploitation of fans.

“I’m tired of this sh*t,” he said. “At least, I know the truth. You’re all delusional. And also, they don’t really give a f*ck about you, they’re only using you because they know they could get concert tickets and merch out of y’all.”

Noah concluded his remarks with a direct criticism of the band’s current vocalist Jeff Gutt.

“Jeff Gutt needs to make his own legacy and stop trying to d*ck ride a man who never knew you existed!” he stated.

Noah’s harsh criticism comes as Stone Temple Pilots continues to operate as an active touring and recording band. This is nearly a decade after his father’s passing.

Wikipedia documented that Stone Temple Pilots has been active since 1989. The current lineup features Robert DeLeo on bass, Eric Kretz on drums, Dean DeLeo on guitar, and Jeff Gutt as lead vocalist since 2017. The band has maintained its presence in the rock music scene despite multiple lineup changes over the years.

The group has continued releasing new material. Their latest album *Perdida* arrived in 2020, marking a different acoustic direction for the band. Sweetland Amphitheatre confirmed that Stone Temple Pilots remains an active touring act with scheduled performances at various festivals and venues across the country.

Beyond their main band activities, band members Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz are involved in other musical projects. KBER reported they have a planned summer 2025 tour with Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson. This demonstrates the ongoing musical careers of the surviving original members.

The band’s continued commercial activity and touring schedule appears to be at the center of Noah’s frustration. He views their current operations as exploiting his father’s legacy rather than honoring it. The comments represent a public family dispute over the legacy of Stone Temple Pilots and its continued operations following Scott Weiland’s death in 2015.
