Noah Weiland, son of late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, has spoken out against Warped Tour. He criticized the artists on this year’s lineup in a video message shared on Instagram.
The statement focused on Weiland’s frustration with the current festival bill. He feels it fails to represent what younger audiences actually want to hear, while also promoting his own upcoming album.
“Here’s the thing about Warped Tour. Everybody that plays on that shit, like, I don’t got no beef with y’all or no smoke with y’all,” Noah Weiland said. “Y’all are probably great people, but your music is ass and you need to step it the f*ck up and know what the youth and the new generation wants.”
He went on to tie his criticism directly to his own music, which he says is set to drop soon.
“Because I actually do know what they want, and I have a f*cking 22-track album called Crash Out Junkie that is dropping in, like, a week or two, and I’m gonna f*cking merc everyone on that whole festival lineup,” he continued.
Weiland did, however, draw a distinction when it came to some of the more established acts on the bill.
“I mean, like, obviously there’s a lot of old heads that be playing that shit too, and I personally think that, you know, they did their thing, their classics or whatever, but I ain’t really f*cking with Warped Tour,” he said. “That’s all I gotta say. So thank you guys.”
Weiland’s comments land at a moment when Warped Tour itself is enjoying a major resurgence. The touring festival made a full-fledged comeback in 2026, expanding beyond its traditional single-city format. It has included stops in Montreal, Long Beach and, for the first time, Mexico City, with acts including Papa Roach, Rise Against, Yellowcard and Taking Back Sunday.
Warped Tour’s Orlando finale is set for November 14 and 15 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The bill was recently expanded with 311, Gym Class Heroes and Dirty Heads, joining acts including Sublime, Third Eye Blind, Simple Plan and Dropkick Murphys.
Weiland’s comments come as he prepares to release his 22-track album, Crash Out Junkie, in the coming weeks.
