Mick Sweda recently commented on his decision to reunite with the BulletBoys. He addressed the shift in his previous stance in a statement shared on Z93 radio station.

When asked about his decision to reunite with the BulletBoys, Sweda emphasized the importance of the moment. He stressed the band’s collective readiness to move forward together.

“I love playing with these guys. And we’ve come to some agreements that weren’t necessarily on the table before. And suffice to say that it’s pretty momentous for all of us, and we’re looking forward to sharing that with everybody, especially people that have never had a chance to see us,” Sweda said.

Sweda acknowledged that the band members have distinct personalities. He stressed their shared commitment to making the reunion work and highlighted the urgency of the moment. The band’s ability to overcome internal differences became a central theme in his remarks.

“There’s not an infinite amount of time left for us, and we have to put those differences… I mean, there’s gonna be differences, obviously. There are four very energetic personalities in this band. And I think we’re all at a point where we can manage those and understand that the end result is worth whatever struggles there are to get there,” he continued.

The 2025 reunion marks a significant moment for the classic rock band. This comes particularly given the turbulent history that preceded it, and this latest reconciliation follows years of tension and previous failed attempts to bring the classic lineup back together.

Blabbermouth reported that the band’s classic lineup—consisting of Marq Torien (vocals), Mick Sweda (guitars), Lonnie Vencent, and Jimmy D’Anda—has officially reunited for live performances. The reunion process involved significant effort from all members. Ultimate Metal documented Sweda stating: “We have a bit of a legacy and we all wanna finish it off on a great note.”

The path to this reunion was not straightforward. The original lineup reunited in December 2019 but lasted only until January 2022. At that time, Sweda and D’Anda departed due to what they described as “toxicity” within the band. This departure seemed final, with Sweda previously stating he would “never do anything with BulletBoys again.”

However, circumstances changed over the past year. Lonnie Vencent rejoined the band in December 2024. Jimmy D’Anda’s return followed approximately two months later in October 2025. These individual returns set the stage for Sweda’s eventual decision to rejoin, which was announced around mid-December 2025 through social media posts and band announcements.

Metal Sludge confirmed that the band has already scheduled performances to support the reunion. Shows are confirmed for December 20, 2025, at The Vault in Saginaw, Michigan, and December 28, 2025, at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California. These performances represent the band’s commitment to reconnecting with fans who have supported them throughout their decades-long career.
