The Scorpions have announced the cancellation of their Bogotá concert through their official Instagram account.

“It is with great regret that Scorpions will be unable to perform in Bogotá tonight,” the band stated. “Klaus has still not recovered from the virus and respiratory infection that forced the recent Buenos Aires cancellation for Scorpions and is unfortunately still unable to sing.”

“The band send massive apologies to all their loyal fans in Colombia and are again extremely disappointed not to be able to play in one of their favorite countries,” the statement continued. “They’ll make every effort to return to Colombia in the future.”

The band previously canceled their Buenos Aires show due to the same health issues affecting their lead singer, Klaus Meine.

These recent health complications are part of several medical challenges the veteran rock singer has faced this year.

Loudwire reported that Meine underwent complex spine surgery earlier in 2024. This procedure resulted in the cancellation of their Vive Latino Festival appearance.

The 76-year-old frontman has adapted his performance style to accommodate the natural aging process. Blabbermouth revealed that the band now performs songs in lower keys to manage vocal strain.

The band continues to maintain an active touring schedule. Effingham Radio noted that the Scorpions were set to perform at the Monsters of Rock festival in Bogotá. The band is also considering a Las Vegas residency to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their album ‘Love At First Sting.’

The Scorpions remain committed to performing despite these health-related setbacks. Their dedication to their global fanbase continues to span multiple decades.
