Paul McCartney, apparently, had a wish regarding the Rolling Stones and Ronnie Wood talked all about it while appearing on a new episode of the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Beatles icon’s feature in the Rolling Stones’ most recent album, ‘Hackney Diamonds,’ which will see release on October 20, wasn’t a secret as numerous other names from the industry, such as Elton John, Lady Gaga, and original bassist Bill Wyman also had roles in the record.

So, when Fallon questioned Wood about McCartney’s role, the guitarist shared how the Beatle reacted to their offer to play with them on the record:

“Paul, he was so blown away. He was a bit like a schoolboy, you know? Like a kid in a toy shop. [And he] loved it [the offer]. He said, ‘My dream!’ He said, ‘A Beatle gets to play on a Rolling Stones album!’ He was really knocked out.”

As ‘Hackney Diamonds’ is only a day away from release, check out Wood’s full interview below.
