Roger Waters Reveals If He’ll Sue David Gilmour’s Wife Polly Samson

After Roger Waters stood up for Putin on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson took to X to call out the singer and accuse him of anti-Semitism. During a recent Globo Interview, the singer revealed whether he will sue Samson for her allegations. Waters said:

“No, I’m not taking legal action.”

Polly’s tweet came right after Roger gave an interview to Berliner Zeitung and made remarks that were inline with Russia and Putin. She wrote:

“Sadly, Roger Waters, you are antisemitic to your rotten core. Also, a Putin apologist and a lying, thieving, hypocritical, tax-avoiding, lip-synching, misogynistic, sick-with-envy megalomaniac. Enough of your nonsense.”

Although Waters said during the interview that he would not file a defamation suit against Polly, when asked if he could see himself getting in touch with Gilmour again, the singer replied:

“What do you think?”

Besides answering questions that have made headlines during the Globo Interview, Rogers also talked about his other bandmates and how he has tried to honor what they did in Pink Floyd. He explained:

“‘Redux’ is also a tribute to what Nick ( Mason ), Rick ( Wright ), David ( Gilmour ) and I did in 1973. ‘Great Gig in the Sky’ and the chords of ‘Us and Them,’ from Rick, are brilliant. There are David’s sensational guitar solos for ‘Money’ and ‘Time.’ And Nicky is, well, Nicky, right? A genius drummer, underrated and, most importantly, my best friend.”

The singer pointed out that he is grateful for the people in his life and realizes that at the end of the day he is only human. He added:

“Dude, I’m 80 years old. I have good friends, and when I say good, they are good. What a privilege! I finally found my soul mate, my wife Kamilah, who gives me the strength to keep fighting. And if sometimes it bothers me, so be it. I have no doubt that people are disappointed in me at times, but we are only human.”
