Rob Zombie Says ‘They Didn’t Think I Could Handle It’ As He Recalls His First Movie Directing Experience

Musician and film director Rob Zombie remembered the first time he directed a movie by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.

Back in 1995, Rob’s band White Zombie released their fourth and final studio album, named Astro-Creep: 2000, and there is a special single from this album, named ‘More Human Than Human.’

In the post, Rob stated that the music video of this song is the first movie he directed only by himself and said that nobody believed him that he could handle it perfectly alone. But, they didn’t know about Rob’s passion.

Rob managed to take a perfect music video for ‘More Human Than Human,’ and it was so great that he won the MTV Video Music Award for Hard Rock Video. Afterward, he started to make his famous movie House Of 1000 Corpses.

Here is what Rob Zombie wrote:

“1995 directing the More Human Than Human video. The first video I directed alone. The others were co-directed to keep Geffen Records calm. They didn’t think I could handle it. This video won the MTV AWARD best hard rock video making me the first self- directed artist to ever win. Five years later I made House of 1000 Corpses. ☠️”
