Rob Halford Praises Lady Gaga, Taylor Momsen And Doro

Seen in an appearance on Inside With Paulo Baron, Judas Priest’s Rob Halford has revealed some of the female artists he liked including Lady Gaga, Taylor Momsen, and the German heavy metal singer Doro.

A successful singer and songwriter, Rob Halford is mostly known as the lead vocalist of the renowned heavy metal band Judas Priest, formed in 1969 and received the 2010’s Grammy Award for the Best Metal Performance. Nicknamed ‘Metal God’ by his fans, Halford is noted for his iconic aspects including his powerful voice which has a wide range, and his trademark looks wearing leather clothes. Apart from working with Judas Priest, he also appears on side projects including Fight, Two, and Halford.

It is known that after their latest album ‘Firepower’ which was released on March 9, 2018, Judas Priest is working on a new record. The plans have been revealed on January 15, 2020, and it has been reported that Andy Sneap and Tom Allom will contribute to the production of the album. The songs are known to be written although incomplete, and the album is currently in the composing phase.

Speaking to Inside With Paulo Baron, Rob Halford has shared his opinions on several female singers. Along with Cher, Maria Brink, Elkie Brooks, and Suzi Quatro, he mentioned his appreciation of Doro, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Momsen. Halford said he loves Doro and praised her singing, saying it is unbelievable. He then mentioned Lady Gaga, and The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen, saying she has a great voice.

Halford told Inside With Paulo Baron that:

“Doro, I love Doro. Doro as a female singer – unbelievable. Obviously, Lady Gaga… I can’t think of the name, from The Pretty Reckless [Taylor Momsen], she has a great voice …”

Judas Priest were scheduled to go on the ’50 Heavy Metal Years Tour’ in 2020 through Europe and North America, however, the tour is known to be postponed to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The fans are also waiting for the new record of the band to arrive.
