Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea Says He Was Over The Moon With Joy While Recalling How He Got His First Trumpet
Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea recalled the time when he got his first trumpet by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
In the caption, Flea mentioned the trumpet master named Dominic Callichio and praised his talent by saying that he created the finest horns in the world and showed his respect to the late master.
Furthermore, Flea talked about the day when he got his first trumpet from the hands of Dominic and revealed that he was so happy and joyful that it felt like he was over the moon.
Moreover, Flea shared a picture from the day he mentioned and you can clearly see that Flea was just a child back in those days, and he was trying to play the trumpet in front of Dominic.
Here is what Flea wrote:
“Dominic Callichio was a master trumpet maker, a lifetime of study and practice at shaping metal with his handheld tools to create some of the finest horns ever known. Everyday after school I would walk by his shop until I finally built up the nerve to go inside and marvel at the infinite possibility of his creations.
Pictured here, the awesome day when he sold me a second-hand horn he had lying around, (not a Callichio, it was a Getzen). I was over the moon with joy. Later, a Callichio was made for me by his daughter Irma, and it sits in my lap now, warm with the breath of my memories and hope.”
