Poison’s Rikki Rockett Shares If He Regrets Getting Vaccinated After Testing Positive For Covid-19

Poison drummer Rikki Rocket recently shared a video on his YouTube account and revealed that he got diagnosed with Covid-19 although he’s been fully vaccinated for the past couple of months and said that he suspects he has the new variant.

Rikki Rocket is one of the most appreciated drummers in the contemporary metal scene and he’s been active in the music industry since the ’80s. As the co-headliners of Mötley Crüe’s Stadium Tour, Poison has been regularly making it to the headlines of rock news, especially considering their great live performances.

However, today we’re here to report that the band’s drummer, who’s also a cancer warrior and survivor, recently tested positive for Covid-19, although he’s received all his vaccine shots. During his recent YouTube video, Rikki opened up about his experience and how painful it has been for both him and the rest of his family.

Nonetheless, Rikki also foresaw the questions related to whether he regrets getting vaccinated as he still contracted the virus. Rockett said that he’s spoken to seven doctors, all of whom told him and his family that their health status would be significantly worse if they weren’t vaccinated.

Rikki broke the news as follows:

I was diagnosed, or got a positive test… My son and I stayed in the camper on Friday. On Saturday, he came down with symptoms. So Saturday afternoon, I took him to the urgent care and we had him tested. The doctor said, ‘It’s 50/50. We don’t know.’ Sunday, we got the call that he was positive. On Monday, I went in and got tested. It came back negative, ’cause I was a day early and I got the results on Tuesday. By then, I was having symptoms. And so I went back in and got a rapid test and it was positive.

So, I’m not the only one in my family. Now everybody has it. Guess what: I’m vaccinated. I’m fully vaccinated, and I’ve been vaccinated for months. I don’t know if this is the delta variant, but every physician I’ve spoken to said it has every hallmark of being the delta variant.”

She went on to say:

“You’re probably thinking to yourself, ‘Vaccinated and you still got COVID. Do you feel like an idiot for getting vaccinated? No. The reason I don’t feel that way is because I know that this would be way worse, especially if it was the delta variant.

And I’m pretty sure — pretty, pretty sure; and I’m gonna get a DNA sequence to make sure – but absolutely every doctor that my family and I have come in contact with, and I think we’re counting seven doctors now, have all said, ‘It is the hallmarks… Everything that you describe is the delta variant.’ So I’m quite confident that that’s what it is. And that would completely devastate me if I hadn’t had the vaccine.”
