Poison’s Bret Michaels Picks Hanoi Rocks As The Best Glam Rock Band

In a recent interview with THAT Rocks!, Bret Michaels, frontman of Poison, expressed his admiration for Hanoi Rocks, labeling them as the best glam rock band following a question that came from one of the listeners.

When asked about his favorite English glam rock band, Michaels responded:

“God, there are so many good glam rock bands. I hope that I’m in the right vein here, but I used to love Hanoi Rocks. There’s a lot of great glam bands that come out of there.”

He further added:

“Hanoi Rocks have different members from different areas, but they [have] great tunes.”

The Poison singer also took the opportunity to reflect on the Stadium Tour, which took place from June 16 to September 9, 2022. Poison joined forces with Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard, with Joan Jett as a guest act, for a tour that spanned North America.

The rocker expressed his admiration for both Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, stating:

“I’m a big fan of Def Leppard, a big fan of Mötley Crüe. And everyone on that tour was great. Everyone got along. I’d go out and see their shows. You see all the pictures of Tommy [Lee, Mötley Crüe drummer] on the side of the stage watching us play. I’m up there, hanging out, watching Joan and Def Leppard. Honest to God, it was a great moment.”

Looking ahead, Bret Michaels is preparing for his 2023 ‘Parti-Gras’ tour, scheduled to kick off in July. Joining him on stage will be acclaimed rock acts Night Ranger and Jefferson Starship, along with special appearances from Steve Augeri and Mark McGrath.
