Pixies Release New Song From Their Upcoming Album ‘Doggerel’

Pixies recently released a new single from their upcoming record ‘Doggerel’ and shared the song’s lyric video on their official YouTube channel.

On June 14, 2013, Kim Deal left Pixies. Two weeks later, the band released a new song titled ‘Bagboy’ with vocals by Jeremy Dubs instead of the singer. On July 1, 2013, Muffs And Pandoras’ Kim Shattuck joined Pixies for their 2013 European tour, but she left on November 29. Later in December 2013, Paz Lenchantin joined the band for the 2014 tour.

After releasing a series of EPs and collecting them in LP format for the 2014 album ‘Indie Cindy,’ Pixies toured to support Robert Plant in 2015 across North America. Lenchantin then became a permanent member in July 2015, and the band released their sixth record, ‘Head Carrier’ on September 30, 2016. So, this was a productive period for the Pixies.

On September 13, 2019, the band released their seventh album, ‘Beneath The Eyrie,’ along with the lead single ‘On Graveyard Hill.’ In February 2022, they announced that they were working on a new album. After releasing a single titled ‘Human Crime’ in March, Pixies dropped two songs from their upcoming record, named ‘There’s A Moon On’ and ‘Vault Of Heaven.’

Pixies’ brand-new album is titled ‘Doggerel,’ and it’s scheduled to release on September 30. In a recent Instagram post, the band announced the release of a new song from the record, titled ‘Dregs Of The Wine.’ After revealing some of the lyrics in the post, Pixies uploaded a lyric video for the single on their YouTube channel.

The band’s Instagram post read:

“‘Drinking the dregs of the wine, under the Hollywood sign.’ ‘Dregs Of The Wine’ – taken from the new album ‘Doggerel’ – is out tomorrow.”
