In a new interview with Jeremy White, Bon Jovi guitarist Phil X revealed that the band has been rehearsing, hinting at new tour.
When the interviewer asked about the rehearsals, the guitarist said, “I can’t disclose too much information but I can disclose that we were rehearsing working on some music and rocking out and that’s it actually. I’m waiting for my Bon Jovi schedule so I can fill the holes with the drills. Oh, did you see what I did there?”
“I’m hoping [we get some shows,] I got my fingers crossed. It’d be nice to get out there again,” he continued, referring to Jon Bon Jovi’s vocal troubles and canceled shows.
White also asked what they were rehearsing for. “It’s just keeping the band tight man,” the rocker responded. “We all do other stuff, we all have lives and then when we get back into the room and Jon calls out of tune you’re back into the in into Bon Jovi land and it could be could be ‘Lost Highway’ or ‘Living on a Prayer’ or something that came off of ‘Forever.'”
Though the band released their new album ‘Forever’ last year, they couldn’t do a tour to promote it due to Jon’s vocal issues. He underwent surgery in 2022 to fix his uneven vocal cords, but the process has been slow.
Last year on March, the frontman said he was looking forward to going on a tour this year. “I don’t know about a tour. It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery,” he told People.
He later said in another interview he would consider getting back on stage ‘in a controlled manner,’ regardless of how great he sings or not.
