Trixter vocalist Pete Loran has addressed Sebastian Bach’s recent comments about Skid Row through a new YouTube video.
Loran responded to Bach’s claim about never listening to Skid Row’s recordings with replacement singers. He also addressed Bach’s ongoing desire to reunite with his former band.
“What is up, everybody? Pete Loran here. Figured I’d jump on here with some current events. Your old pal Sebastian Bach back ranting — or not ranting this time, not airing out his dirty laundry and his family leaving him and all that stuff,” Loran said. “This time he says that he has never listened to his replacement singers in his band, Skid Row. He’s never listened to any of those records. Never, never listened to ’em. Do you believe him? [Laughs] I don’t believe him.”
Loran expressed his bewilderment at Bach’s continued fixation on rejoining Skid Row.
“So he can’t seem to let the Skid Row thing go, and for the life of me, I don’t understand why. I don’t know why he’s so obsessed with getting back in that band. He does real well on his own, and he gets the lion’s share of the money. If he had gotten back in Skid Row, he’d, at best, be cut equally, probably get less,” he continued.
Loran delivered a clear message about the band’s position.
“But the reality is those guys don’t want him back. They don’t want him back just as much as they didn’t want him back 30 years ago. Today, they’re just as adamant about it, and they’re tired of talking about it. [Laughs] I’m tired of hearing about it, man. I mean, dude, let it go. You’re doing just fine.”
The comments emerge during ongoing discussions about Bach’s relationship with his former band since his 1996 departure.
Loran’s remarks coincide with recent changes in Skid Row’s lineup and Bach’s public statements.
The Metal Voice revealed Bach’s confirmation of never listening to Skid Row recordings with other vocalists. This admission supports the behavior Loran criticized in his video statement.
Metal Wani has reported that Skid Row is currently auditioning new vocalists. This search follows Erik Grönwall’s departure due to health issues.
Blabbermouth noted that the band continues its search for a new frontman. They have considered guest vocalists, including Lzzy Hale, for select performances.
The situation highlights the persistent tensions between Bach and his former bandmates. The group maintains its focus on their current musical direction rather than considering a reunion with their original vocalist.
