Paul McCartney Shares The Story Of How Bob Dylan Got The Beatles Stoned For The First Time

The Beatles legend Paul McCartney spoke in a recent interview with Uncut and revealed the time when Bob Dylan got them high.
In the conversation, Paul wanted to talk about this funny memory, but he wasn’t sure if Bob would approve of this. Even though Paul was hesitating, he decided to move on and told the story.
Back in 1964, The Beatles members were hanging around in the hotel room and having drinks after the party. Later on, Bob Dylan arrived in the room and went into the bedroom.
According to Paul, Ringo Starr wondered what Bob is up to and went after him. Ringo saw that Bob is rolling up a toke, and he tried it. After Ringo said the ceiling is moving down, all the other members wanted to try it and it was the first time they got stoned.
Here is what Paul McCartney said:
“It was at the Delmonico Hotel on Park Avenue and 59th in New York City in August 1964. We were in a hotel room, all being good lads having our Scotch and Coke – it was an afterparty, I think.
Dylan arrived and he went into the bedroom with his roadie. Ringo went along to see what was up. So he finds Dylan, rolling up, and he has a toke.
He came back in and we said, ‘What was it like?’ So Ringo says, ‘The ceiling is kind of moving down…’ We all ran into the backroom going, ‘Give us a bit, give us a bit!’ That was the very first evening we ever got stoned.”
