As you may recall, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, was involved in a controversy regarding Megan Markle and Prince Harry, and she was widely criticized as racist. Recently, a documentary called ‘Harry & Meghan’ came out on Netflix, and Osbourne made controversial statements about this issue in a conversation with Piers Morgan Uncensored.
“It was all very distasteful, Piers,” she criticized, referring to the new documentary. “I was totally bored by the whining, the whining, the whining… and you know, the curtsy. The thing she said about medieval times, her lunch with the Queen was like the Medieval Times, which, as you know, is a Disney-type entertainment place for kids. And it’s just so horribly disrespectful and just a whine-fest. I mean, is the book going to be the same thing? Whining, whining… Is there going to be no positive points?”
She continued, “And that whole thing of him filming himself on the Freedom flight, they must have had that deal with Netflix done months before they ever left. So the whole thing was a setup. A setup. Unless you had a deal, why would you have done that? Filming of yourself on the plane and all of that and doing a video diary?”
According to her, the documentary aimed only to target the British Royal Family. Sharon exclaimed, “[All they do] is trash [their family]. But there’s nothing about themselves. And this is a great time for them to keep talking about their charity. But, no, it’s about them being these poor little children who are so much in love and how abused they’ve been.”
She added, “Their race, the way they act, everything has been ‘abused’ by the public, by the press, by the royal family. Well, do you know what? You’ve got a great life, you’ve got a beautiful family, you’re so much in love. Move on. Get a life, move on.”
As many of you will recall, after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s scandalous interview with Oprah Winfrey, during which Meghan Markle claimed that the Royal Family was worried about their unborn child’s skin color because Markle is the child of an African American mother, the world split in two. While some people fully supported her and showed compassion, others didn’t trust Markle.
The host of Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan, was one of many who disagreed with Meghan Markle’s comments. His statements on the subject attracted much attention, and he was accused of racism. Sharon Osbourne is close friends with Piers Morgan and supported her friend on social media by saying everyone has the right to voice their opinions. However, some of her followers were offended by her comments, and after the sensational dispute with her cohost on The Talk, she was also accused of being racist.
Osbourne, who continued to be exposed to these accusations on various occasions after that, now expressed her ideas about this documentary without hesitation. The documentary in question, ‘Harry & Meghan,’ is currently available on Netflix. The six-part series follows the couple’s relationship from their early romance to their choice to resign from their roles as members of the British Royal Family, as well as their post-retirement activities.
