Kelly Osbourne recently addressed hurtful comments about her weight loss in a video shared on Instagram. She spoke out against critics who questioned her appearance during a difficult time.

The reality television personality and daughter of Ozzy Osbourne posted the video to respond to negative comments. Critics questioned whether she was ill or using weight loss medication. In her statement, she emphasized the emotional toll of her father’s recent passing and her efforts to maintain positivity.

“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill?’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right’. My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can,” Osbourne said.

She further explained her approach to sharing her life publicly during this grieving period.

“The only thing I have to live for right now is my family, and I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life not the miserable side of my life. So to all those people: f*ck off,” she continued.

The video was subsequently deleted from her Instagram account. Osbourne’s response highlights the scrutiny public figures face regarding their appearance, particularly during personal crises.

Kelly Osbourne’s transformation has been a topic of public interest over the past several years. Her openness about her weight loss methods and ongoing health journey provides important context for understanding the criticism she faces online.

Kelly’s weight loss journey began in earnest around 2023. She started using Ozempic (semaglutide) as part of a comprehensive approach to her health. According to recent reports, she has achieved a significant transformation, losing approximately 50-60 pounds from a high of around 200 pounds.

In a June 2025 feature, People magazine reported that Kelly revealed: “Ozempic kickstarted it, but discipline keeps it off—no more yo-yo.” She emphasized that her weight loss is sustained through strict dietary changes, including a low-carb, high-protein diet, and regular workouts with a trainer.

The medication Ozempic is FDA-approved for weight management. It has become increasingly common among celebrities seeking to maintain their health goals. Kelly’s doctor-confirmed use of the medication aligns with similar cases among other public figures. Her willingness to discuss her weight loss methods openly has made her a subject of both support and criticism on social media platforms.

Throughout 2025, Kelly has continued to maintain her transformation while advocating for body positivity and realistic health goals. Recent appearances, including at the 2025 MTV VMAs in September, showcased her sustained results. She wore a form-fitting gown at the event. Despite the public scrutiny, Kelly has remained committed to sharing her journey while also protecting her mental health during difficult personal times.
