Ozzy Osbourne has announced that he will not fully retire from music following Black Sabbath’s final concert. He revealed plans to continue recording new material, as reported by Metal Hammer.

The rock legend shared his thoughts on his future in music. He reflected on his long career with Black Sabbath.

“I am very blessed to say my goodbyes with the help of so many amazing musicians and friends,” Osbourne said. “From the late ’60s, we are probably one of the only bands where the original members are still alive and speaking with one another. As my wife says, it’s an invisible bond that can’t be broken.”

The Prince of Darkness elaborated on his plans to remain active in the music industry.

“I still enjoy doing my own work,” he continued. “I also enjoy singing on other people’s work. For the foreseeable future, I will keep on recording if the projects interest me. It’s very important.”

This announcement comes as Osbourne prepares for what many expected to be his final chapter in music. His recent statements suggest a different path forward.

Black Sabbath will conclude their live performances with a final concert on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham. Osbourne’s activities extend beyond music. AXS TV confirmed that Ozzy and his family will appear as special guests at Comic Con Midlands later that month. This demonstrates their continued engagement with fans through pop culture events.

This multi-faceted approach to his career shows that Osbourne may be stepping back from extensive touring. He remains committed to connecting with audiences through various platforms and creative projects. His decision to continue recording represents a significant shift from previous retirement plans. This ensures that fans can expect new music from the metal icon in the coming years.
