Ozzy Osbourne And Tony Iommi Reunite For A Surprise Performance Of ‘Paranoid’

Black Sabbath members Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi shared the stage after years for a special show as a part of an event. Osbourne and Iommi’s surprise reunion made their longtime dedicated fans, who looked forward to watching them together, excited and happy.

Commonwealth of Nations’ international multi-sport event, The 2022 Commonwealth Games’ opening ceremonies started on July 28, 2022, at Alexander Stadium. Duran Duran served as the headliners, and Iommi took the stage along with Soweto Kinch, which drew significant attention from the audience, media, and fellow rockers. There was also a big surprise at the end of the event.

During the closing ceremony, which took place on August 8, several musicians and bands such as Goldie, Beverley Knight, Apache Indian, and Jorja Smith, performed. The grand finale performance was given by the two Black Sabbath icons, Iommi and Osbourne, whose appearance was a surprise, especially after Ozzy’s Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and life-changing spine surgery. Most fans thought that they would never see him on the stage again.

However, Osbourne, a person who has never given up on performing music and has worked so hard for that, joined his former bandmate on the stage. The musicians performed the Black Sabbath hit ‘Paranoid’ from the album of the same name, and Osbourne’s return and reunion with Iommi made everyone recall the good old days. Moreover, the duo recently collaborated on ‘Degradation Rules’ for Osbourne’s upcoming album, ‘Patient Number 9.’
