Ozzfest has confirmed it will return to the United States in 2027, marking the festival’s first stateside appearance in a decade. The announcement comes alongside the festival’s previously revealed comeback show at Birmingham’s Villa Park.
The post teased further details while inviting fans to weigh in on where they’d like to see the festival held.
“More Info Coming Soon!!!” Ozzfest said. “Where are you hoping Ozzfest 2027 will pop up?”
This marks Ozzfest’s second confirmed country for its 2027 relaunch. It also gives longtime fans their first real sense of the festival’s scale as it plots a full-scale comeback.
The festival’s last U.S. appearance came on December 31, 2018, at what is now known as the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. That show closed out a nearly decade-long absence from American stages.
Ozzfest’s UK return will unfold at Villa Park in Birmingham, the same venue that hosted Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning,” in July 2025. The choice underscores the festival’s deep ties to Osbourne’s hometown roots.
Beyond confirming the two countries, organizers have not yet released a U.S. city, venue, or date for the 2027 edition. Lineup details also remain unannounced, leaving fans to speculate based on the festival’s social media teasers.
Sharon Osbourne, who co-founded Ozzfest with her late husband in the mid-1990s, has reportedly been soliciting fan input on where the American leg should land. This echoes the same open-ended question posed in the festival’s latest post.
