Orianthi Replaces Nita Strauss For Upcoming Alice Cooper Tour

Orianthi joined Alice Cooper’s upcoming tour as a replacement for Nita Strauss.

In 2022, Strauss left Cooper’s band after eight years. After leaving, she joined Demi Lovato’s live band. Three months later, she performed with Cooper again for one show and rejoined his band the next year.

Now, Strauss is taking another break, and Orianthi will replace her in the band. Orianthi played with Alice from 2011 to 2014. She will join him again for shows from late January to mid-February 2025.

“When Orianthi moved on to pursue her own career in 2014, we were lucky to find Nita,” Cooper shared in a statement.

He continued, “Over the past decade, Nita, Chuck [Garric, Cooper’s bassist], and Tommy [Henriksen, another one of Cooper’s guitarists] have also launched their own projects, and we always try to coordinate our schedule so we can keep the band together, but these shows came up after Nita had already committed to another tour.”

“So, I reached out to Orianthi, and thankfully she was available to jump back in, so we’re all really looking forward to doing these shows with her. I’m so fortunate to always have such great musicians to work with,” the singer added.

Cooper is used to changing his band lineup quickly. In 2022, when Strauss left for a while to tour with Lovato, Cooper brought back Kane Roberts. Alice will announce more 2025 tour dates with Strauss back in the band. So far, he’s set to play at the Sonic Temple festival in Ohio on May 9 and open for My Chemical Romance in Philadelphia on August 15.

Since leaving Cooper’s band, Orianthi has stayed busy. She released two albums, ‘O’ in 2020 and ‘Rock Candy’ in 2022. She also worked on signature gear, including a Gibson acoustic guitar and two Orange amps. She still works with PRS, her long-time partner.
