Liam Gallagher thinks being a celebrity and rock star is different.
NME recently posted the news titled, “Liam Gallagher is building a pool in his garden – despite admitting he ‘can’t swim.’ ‘I wish I could swim… I start flapping around like some mad salmon,’ he said in 2017.”
“This was posted in the papers yesterday. Why do we need to care about celebrities’ gardens?” a user commented on X. Liam saw this comment and said, “I’m not a f*cking CELEBRITIES.”

When another person asked, “What’s the difference between a celebrity and a rock n roll star?” Gallagher replied, “Celebraties are sad little desperate f*cks and if they don’t get enough attention they cry little b*tches.”

Still, Liam thinks rock stars today aren’t like those from the ’60s to ’80s. In a 2022 interview with The Project, the singer said, “Popstars are alright. They’re allowed to go around and be a bit soft now because that’s what it says on the tin, doesn’t it? But rock and roll stars, no one seems to be getting in trouble. They are on the line like good little sheep; it’s terrible, isn’t it?”
When asked about the reason, Gallagher shared, “I don’t know, mobile phones or cameras maybe. If mobile phones were around in the ’60s, ’70s, and the ’80s, Keith Moon probably would have gotten up to what he was doing because he didn’t give a f*ck. But with phones and cameras, everyone is sort of showing off.”
Oasis will be back this year. The Gallagher brothers will reunite for shows starting July 4, their first since 2009. It’s unclear who else will join, if they’ll release new music, or which songs they’ll play.
“It’s not far off,” Liam revealed last month when a fan asked him, “is this setlist official?” The list included songs such as ‘Acquiesce,’ ‘Some Might Say,’ ‘Lyla,’ ‘Shakermaker,’ ‘The Hindu Times,’ ‘Cast No Shadow,’ ‘Slide Away,’ ‘Supersonic,’ ‘Morning Glory,’ ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,’ ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol,’ ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger,’ ‘Live Forever,’ and ‘Champagne Supernova.’
After performing in England, Oasis will have shows in Scotland, and Ireland, followed by a North American tour.
