The clip focuses on why the brothers did not need many words during their reunion. Noel summed up his feelings about family.

“Family is different,” Noel Gallagher said. “You don’t have to say anything. It’s as simple as that. And you don’t have to justify not saying anything to anyone else.”

Documentary writer and creator Steven Knight also explained what Noel meant by the phrase. He described the moment the siblings came back together on camera.

“They walked back into a room together, and we filmed it, and they started, and Oasis was back,” Knight said. “So when Noel says, ‘Family is different. You don’t have to say anything,’ he literally means family is different. You don’t have to say anything, and that’s what happened.”

The moment is one of the most closely watched parts of the film. It tells the story of the band’s return, covering the wider reunion and the tour that followed.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25. The film presents the run as one of the biggest musical events of 2025. It captures the experience of the band and its fans around the world.

Steven Knight is credited as writer and creator. Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directed the film. It opened in select IMAX screens and cinemas worldwide on September 11 for a limited run.

The documentary begins streaming exclusively on Disney+ and Hulu on October 9. The streaming release includes never-before-seen footage and material from the joint interview with Liam and Noel. It also features full performances of “Wonderwall” and “Slide Away.”

The film arrives after a long break between the brothers. They ended the band and stopped speaking to each other about 15 years before the reunion. That history gives the silent meeting in the new clip added weight.
