Nikki Sixx’s Wife Courtney Recalls Her Dance Fail During Mötley Crüe Show
Courtney Sixx recently did a live stream on her Instagram page and interacted with her followers. When she got the question of whether she would like to give dance classes or not, she remembered the time she danced on Mötley Crüe’s stage during ‘Girls Girls Girls.’
Nikki Sixx got married to the model and the businesswoman Courtney in 2014, seven years after he got a divorce from his second wife, Donna D’Errico. They posted their wedding photos on their social media accounts, and they continue to share their lives on Instagram. They still seem very happy together even after seven years of marriage.
Courtney revealed in an interview with ‘Bikini’ that she met Nikki Sixx on a blind date. Their relationship escalated from there, leading to marriage. When they were still dating, in 2012, Courtney decided to go on Mötley Crüe’s stage when they played ‘Girls Girls Girls’ and dance with the other dancers so that she could fulfill a lifelong dream of hers.
She stated how nervous she felt throughout the routine, but in the end, she had so much fun doing it. She talked about how she practiced for it and how it felt to be on stage with the band. Courtney also admitted that she had two tequila shots and almost didn’t go on stage but Mötley Crüe’s stylist physically pushed her.
Here is how she recalled when she danced on stage to ‘Girls, Girls, Girls.’
“I like to think I am a great dancer, in my younger days, you know, bouncing around in the clubs. But as far as giving a class, I don’t know how that would work out. I don’t know if anyone remembers this at all, it was my 27th birthday, and I convinced myself it was a present for Nikki, but really it was a present for me.
My girlfriend started The Pussycat Dolls, her name is Robin, and I always thought it’d be so fun to wear all those outfits and the fringe and do this kind of sexy dance move. So I told Nikki, ‘For my birthday, I’m giving you the gift of getting up on stage with Mötley and shaking my feather tail,’ and he was good support. But it was a present for me cause it was a dream come true.”
She went on to say:
“I remember I practiced so hard, and the dancers had the time. I am not sure how keen they were with me getting up there, so I videotaped them. I was at the front row videotaping the ‘Girls Girls Girls’ dance routine, and I just watched that probably a hundred times trying to teach it to myself because I had hoped maybe they would teach me, but that wasn’t happening. So I got up there, I had the time of my life, I’ve never been so scared in my entire life.
I mean, it was really fun, but I’m not a dancer. I was also two feet taller than the dancers at the time, so it was one dancer, me, and the other dancer, and I realise why a lot of dancers are a little more petite. I’m 5’11, but it was really fun. Having said that, it was very hard for me to learn the little routine of the two minutes that I was up there. So, I don’t know if I’ll be doing any dance classes. I think I’ll stick to flowers.“
Here is how she admitted to having shots to calm her nerves:
“I hate to admit this, but I am not a tequila person at all. It just doesn’t work for me. I was so nervous that I did two shots of tequila, and Nikki was already out on the stage obviously, and so their wardrobe stylist – I was on the side of the stage, and it was my part coming up for the chorus, and I go ‘There is no way in hell, I can’t do this. I’m gonna have a nervous breakdown right now.’
She literally kicked me out onto the stage, and I felt ‘Alright, here we go, there’s no turning back. If you’re ever bored, and you go to YouTube, I guess just put in Courtney Sixx ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ and you’ll get a good laugh. The bottom line is, I had a lot of fun doing it and got to wear the cool outfit.”
