Nikki Sixx is also a very accomplished writer apart from his successful career as the bassist of Mötley Crüe. He has written and published three autobiographical books for now. He co-wrote his first book ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’ with his bandmates which was released on May 22, 2001. The book was based on the crazy and unforgettable memories of Mötley Crüe members.

Sixx also wrote two other books named ‘The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star’ and ‘This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography, and Life Through the Distorted Lens of Nikki Sixx.’ He previously announced that he finished his latest book ‘The First 21: How I Became Nikki Sixx’ which will be released on October 10, 2021.

In his recent tweet, Nikki Sixx stated that writing the next book was a great experience to revisit the memories. He mentioned he was deeply grateful to everyone who ‘tore through old boxes looking for photos and together digging in the past.’ Sixx also hinted at an upcoming book tour that he might start soon after the book’s release. In his tweet, Nikki asked his fans’ opinion on which cities he should visit for a book signing tour. The fans shared their comments under his post and mostly wanted him to come to Phoenix and Mexico City.

Here’s what Sixx wrote in his tweets:

“Going back in time and reconnecting with old friends and family was such an important part of this story… I am very grateful to everybody that tore through old boxes looking for photos and together digging in the past…What a blessing this book has already been…

Talking about possible book tour dates. What city’s do you suggest? Have you been to one of my book signings before?”
