Bruce Dickinson Blames Iron Maiden Fans For Spoiling His And Steve Harris’ Performance

Iron Maiden has been hitting the road for their ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ tour. With only a few shows left, an incident during their performance at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, last Friday negatively impacted the band members. Bruce Dickinson targeted some pot-smoking fans in the front row, and his rant was recorded on camera. In the video, the singer seems really angry, especially since Steve Harris hates the smell of marijuana.

“I don’t know what it is,” the frontman shouted when he noticed the fans smoking pots. “There are so many f*cking people smoking so much f*cking dope down here. I’m amazed you can even see. Poor old Steve. I don’t know if you know, but he absolutely f*cking hates marijuana and the smell of it, alright? So when he’s trying to play bass, it f*cks him up.”

He continued by explaining how it affects his vocal performance and said, “It f*cks me up. I’m a singer, alright? So duh. I would just ask for a tiny bit of respect – if you want to go get completely stoned out of your f*cking mind, go out the back and do it. Alright? Otherwise, you’re going to end up like this f*cking knucklehead here going ‘uhhh.'”

Their last concert within the scope of the tour will be at the Amalie Arena, Tampa, on October 27th, hopefully without any other incidents. It has been the band’s longest tour with Bruce Dickinson on vocals since ‘Somewhere On Tour’ in the mid-’80s. They had nearly 140 shows in total, playing in more than 30 countries in Europe, North America, South America, and Latin America.
