Nikki Sixx Shares His ‘By Far Favorite Tour’ In Decades

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently shared an Instagram post and expressed his contentment with The Stadium Tour. Sixx defined this tour with Def Leppard as his favorite.

In 2019, Mötley Crüe announced they would hit the road for a tour in the summer of 2020. Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts would join them during the tour. However, the band had to reschedule the tour dates due to the regulations of COVID-19.

They initially informed the fans that the tour would take place from June to September 2021. Nevertheless, plans did not go as organized because of the ongoing global pandemic. The Stadium Tour was postponed to 2022, and they later confirmed they would hit the road just in time this once.

While the fans had concerns about a possible postponement, especially Nikki Sixx made them relieved by conforming to the arranged dates. He furthermore gave information about the setlist of the massive tour. Sixx also mentioned that sharing the same stage with the tour co-headliner, Dep Leppard, would be a win-win situation for both sides.

The highly anticipated tour began as it was arranged. While the bands and the fans have special moments during the tour, Nikki Sixx recently shared an Instagram post mentioning his excitement about it. He stated that the moment just before going onto the stage was extraordinary, and he was grateful for that moment. The bassist noted that The Stadium Tour was his favorite one by far, and he was very content to have a chance to spend time with Def Leppard during this occasion.

Nikki Sixx wrote in his IG:

“This moment. The moment I’ve experienced 1000’s times from playing small clubs to stadiums over the last 45 years of my life. The moment right before we hit the stage. I wish I could boil it down and pass it around in a shot glass for everybody. It’s high, it’s a meditative state, it’s rage, and it’s gratitude. All the work, all the songwriting, all the stage designs, all the band rehearsals, and all the joy of being in a band. The list goes on and on. God bless rock n roll. God bless the fans. Thank you. Who wants a shot of adrenaline? Bottoms up. Let’s do it again tomorrow night in Cleveland.

PS: This is by far my favorite tour in decades, and Def Leppard is a joy to hang out with and do a co-headline tour together with.”
