Nikki Sixx Says Mötley Crüe’s Stadium Tour With Def Leppard Will Be A ‘Win Win’

Mötley Crüe is getting closer and closer to kick off their US tour, co-headlining with Def Leppard. Nikki Sixx recently stated on Twitter that headlining with one of the biggest heavy metal bands will be a win-win for both of them.

The Stadium tour was initially planned to kick off in 2020 after the band members decided to reunite following the worldwide success of their biopic, ‘The Dirt.’ Even though they had signed a no touring contract before that, they found a loophole in the document and ripped it off, announcing that they would return to the stage.

However, the pandemic messed up their plans, and the tour that was supposed to begin in 2020 was postponed first to 2021 and now to 2022. Currently, most countries are going back to normal by easing the restrictions, and concerts have resumed. It seems like the band’s tour will finally happen this time without any problems regarding the pandemic.

Crüe will be co-headlining with Def Leppard, and the other acts during the tour will be Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. A fan tweeted Nikki Sixx that their show in Kansas City should be headlined just by Crüe and not Def Leppard. They stated that even though they love Def Leppard too, KC is a Crüe city, and they should be in the spotlight. Sixx replied briefly by saying that both bands will get the same time on stage, which is a win-win.

Here is what the fan said:

“Not sure how you guys will rotate headline with Def Leppard, but when you come to KC, you absolutely have to headline. You’ve been to KC so many times and know that KC is at Crue town. I Love DL, but The Crue is an absolute must to close out the show. Please confirm.”

Nikki Sixx replied:

“Same amount of time on stage for both bands. Both have headline shows. It’s a win-win.
