Nikki Sixx, in one of his classic nearly daily fan chat sessions on Twitter, addressed the topic of the SixxAm radio show and podcast, which has become a subject of interest among fans. There’s a significant interest in this topic, and there’s a serious fan base that wants Sixx to do this radio show again.
The musician clarified the issue by saying he currently cannot meet these expectations:
“I am afraid there just isn’t enough time for me to commit to SixxAm these days. I loved what we did together but besides Motley I just don’t wanna be away from my family that much anymore.”
He also spoke about how touring is hard on the family and added:
“Touring is hard on the family and it’s getting harder and harder for me…”
It seems there’s a reality that all rock fans need to understand at some point. That is: these musicians have aged and they are not the ‘young and all-powerful carefree rock stars’ we remember in our memories. They have families and it seems that making time for them has become their priority, and we can’t blame them for that.
New Update on Mötley Crüe’s Tour

The bassist also shared information about the concerts Mötley Crüe will perform this year. He mentioned they would only be playing 20 shows this year and asked fans if they would come to see them and where, to gauge the interest in case this schedule is announced. Here’s what he said:
“Only playing 20 shows this year. Anybody coming to see us and if so, where? We’re headlining some really cool festivals.”
As far as I can see, there’s a positive atmosphere on the fans’ side. It’s clear there’s a significant crowd that wants to see Mötley Crüe on stage and will fill stadiums for them.
