Nikki Sixx Mourns The Passing Of Metal Edge Editor, Gerri Miller

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing a farewell message after the passing of the writer and editor of Metal Edge, Gerri Miller, and stated that he feels awfully sorry to hear that she’s gone in addition to praising Miller for her belief and support in numerous bands during her time.

As many of you might know, writer Gerri Miller was a pillar of the hard rock and heavy metal communities as an editor of Metal Edge magazine, which was founded in the summer of 1985, during the height of glam metal’s success and became one of the household names when it comes to rock and roll community.

Earlier yesterday, on March 15, a heartbreaking message was posted on Gerri Miller’s official Facebook page and it was announced that Miller has passed away. The cause of death has not been released yet, however, the passing of the Metal Edge editor deeply affected many musicians as they all shared a post on their official social media account to say their final goodbye to Miller.

Here is what was posted on Miller Facebook page:

“Absolutely shattered at the passing last night of dear friend, colleague, and kick-arse entertainment journalist Gerri Miller. It is only fitting that the heavens have opened here in LA. They are surely shedding tears for her.”

Recently, Nikki Sixx also shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing a farewell message to Gerri Miller by expressing his sadness over her passing. Sixx stated that Miller was a huge believer in plenty of bands during her time as a writer and editor at Metal Edge Magazine.

Sad to hear of the passing of Gerri Miller. RIP. She was a true believer in so many bands during her time at Metal Edge as a writer and editor. My condolences to her family & friends.”
