New Marilyn Manson Documentary Set To Expose, ‘The Definitive Story Of The Controversy’
A new Marilyn Manson documentary called ‘Marilyn Manson: Behind The Mask’ is currently being developed by Lightbox and Rolling Stone Films for Channel 4.
The film, reportedly, will feature and investigate the recent sexual abuse allegations made against the rocker by different women. Suzanne Lavery from Lightbox Studios recently discussed what the three-part documentary aimed to unveil:
“‘Marilyn Manson: Behind The Mask’ tells the definitive story of the controversy surrounding the star, charting his career from its early days through to his being dropped by his manager, agent, and record label as a result of the allegations made against him.”
She further continued by telling more about what the documentary will be looking into:
“In first-hand testimony, we hear intimate accounts from his accusers, as well as those who robustly refute their allegations. The series asks timely questions about how the music industry draws the line between rock n roll excess and transgressive behavior and examines Manson’s constructed persona.”
Lavery added:
“[The documentary] reflects the reality of the human being behind the performer, and what the future holds for the freedom of expression and the right to shock.”
The release date of the three-parted doc is yet to be determined, and Manson has denied all the allegations.
