New Linkin Park Drummer Reveals If Brad Delson Will Ever Perform Live Again

New Linkin Park drummer Colin Brittain recently answered questions in a livestream on Instagram. During the session, he also shared what he knew about Brad Delson’s potential return to live performances.

When asked if the guitarist would play live again, the drummer said, “I don’t know if Brad’s gonna perform live. You’d have to ask him.”

Delson announced he wouldn’t be part of Linkin Park’s upcoming reunion tour shortly after their global livestream concert in Los Angeles in early September. Alex Feder will replace him for the shows, although he will continue to take part in new records, including ‘From Zero.’

Meanwhile, Colin Brittain will be stepping in for Rob Bourdon on drums, and Emily Armstrong will take over lead vocals, filling in for the late Chester Bennington.

According to the live Q&A session, Brittain is already a fan of Linkin Park, especially their first two albums. “Linkin Park, they’re my favorite band,” the drummer revealed before reflecting on ‘Hybrid Theory’ and ‘Meteora.’

Asked to choose between them, he shared, “Obviously, I like songs off of both of them. They’re both great for different reasons. I think ‘Meteora’ is like slightly more refined. So, there’s parts of it that I like about that. I like some of the songs off of that, but I also really really like ‘Hybrid Theory’ ’cause it was like the first record.”

Linkin Park is set to wrap up their 2024 mini-tour in Brazil on November 16. The band has plans for a larger trek in 2025 to support their first new album since 2017’s ‘One More Light.’

The first single from ‘From Zero’ arrived last month. The full album will see release on November 15.
