Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has addressed a fan’s request about reviving Sixx:A.M. on X (formerly Twitter).
A fan expressed their desire for a Sixx:A.M. revival. “I like the Sixx:A.M. project the most. You’ll have some free time soon. Maybe DJ and James do too. Three week tour! Scratch my itch!” they wrote.
Sixx offered a direct response: “Free time is something a creative mind never gets. So many fun projects happening all right now plus Motley in Sept for 10 shows.”
Mötley Crüe recently postponed several shows due to Vince Neil’s health issues. This led fans to speculate about potential side projects during the break.
Sixx’s schedule remains packed with multiple upcoming projects for Mötley Crüe and other ventures.
MetalSucks reports that Mötley Crüe would release their first full-length studio album since 2008’s ‘Saints of Los Angeles’ in 2024. Still, the band hasn’t released an LP yet.
The new album introduced guitarist John 5 to the band’s sound. He joined in 2022 as a replacement for longtime member Mick Mars.
American Songwriter reveals another dimension to Sixx’s creative pursuits. He partnered with ‘The Lion King’ co-director Rob Minkoff for a music-related animation project.
These ongoing projects clearly support Sixx’s statement about lacking free time. He continues to balance multiple creative endeavors while maintaining his commitment to Mötley Crüe’s upcoming performances.
