Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx has shared a rare behind-the-scenes update on the band’s preparations for their upcoming shows, as reported via his post on X (Twitter).

Sixx confirmed that the band is actively rehearsing ahead of a packed schedule. The schedule includes Canadian festival appearances and a larger tour, offering fans a candid look at what’s happening behind the scenes.

“Back to California for band rehearsals,” Sixx said. “We have two festivals in Canada before pre production for COS and then the real tour starts.”

The bassist also touched on the personal sacrifice that comes with the busy summer schedule, while expressing enthusiasm for the road ahead — including the addition of fellow rock acts to the lineup.

“Hard to not be in Wyoming in the summer but at the same time excited to play for the fans,” he continued. “Happy Extreme and Tesla are joining us.”

The update marks one of the more detailed glimpses into Mötley Crüe’s current activity. It reassures fans that the band is gearing up and will be ready when the tour kicks off.

Sixx’s rehearsal update comes as the band gears up for what promises to be one of the biggest rock tours of the summer — a full-scale North American run that carries both anniversary significance and a reimagined live production.

As XS Rock reported, the tour is officially titled The Return of the Carnival of Sins. It is set to kick off on July 17, 2026, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, spanning 33 dates across North America. The run celebrates two major milestones simultaneously: the 20th anniversary of the original Carnival of Sins tour and the band’s 45th anniversary as a group.

Metal Injection noted that both Tesla and Extreme are confirmed as supporting acts for the massive North American outing. This makes it a stacked bill for fans of classic hard rock. The pairing of these three acts is expected to draw large crowds across the continent throughout the summer months.

Among the confirmed Canadian stops, XS Rock noted that Toronto, Ontario — at RBC Amphitheatre on July 22, 2026 — is one of the scheduled dates. This aligns with Sixx’s mention of Canadian festival appearances ahead of the main production rollout. The Canadian shows are set to serve as a warm-up before the full-scale production of the tour takes shape.

Tinley Park Amphitheater confirmed that Tesla is an opening act for the entire tour. This underscores the consistency of the lineup from start to finish. The bill reflects a deliberate effort to deliver a full classic rock experience at every stop, rather than rotating support acts throughout the run.

The original Carnival of Sins tour was widely regarded as one of Mötley Crüe’s most elaborate live productions. Mötley Crüe’s official Facebook described the upcoming tour as a “re-imagined show,” suggesting fans can expect a fresh take on the spectacle that defined the original run two decades ago.
