The Boardwalk Rock Fest official Facebook page announced a major lineup change for their upcoming festival in Ocean City.
“We’re excited to welcome Alice in Chains to the first-ever Boardwalk Rock lineup,” the festival organizers stated. “Due to health concerns, Mötley Crüe will no longer be able to join us in Ocean City this May. We’ll miss them and wish them well.”
The festival organizers provided additional details in a full message from the band. Alice In Chains will step in to fill Mötley Crüe’s spot in the festival lineup.
This cancellation follows several health-related schedule adjustments for Mötley Crüe.
Radio Plus Info revealed that the band postponed their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The shows were initially set for March 28 to April 19, 2025. The postponement came after vocalist Vince Neil required a medical procedure.
People magazine confirmed the Las Vegas residency’s rescheduling to September 2025. This new timeline will give Neil sufficient recovery time.
98 Online detailed the inaugural Boardwalk Rock Festival’s schedule for May 17 and 18, 2025. Alice In Chains will perform alongside headliners Def Leppard and Nickelback. The band will serve as direct support for Def Leppard on May 17.
SiriusXM radio personality Eddie Trunk will host the festival. The two-day event will showcase a diverse mix of classic and contemporary rock performances.
