Several famous British musicians have criticized the Brit Awards over the years, including Noel Gallagher and Morrissey back in 2015. However the singer not only criticized the award show but also humiliated Madonna with his lengthy post through a fan website called ‘True To You.’

The former Smiths singer shared what he thought of Madonna performing at the Brits stage just before a new album release. He said:

“Thus, for 2015, we have MacDonna, who had a quiet 2014 (but who is quite usefully about to release her new album!), yet here she is again promoting her frightening career on the Brit Awards even though her music has not ever said anything at all about British life.”

Morrissey also advised the audience to question the Brits since they gave out the award to a track that wasn’t in the top charts. He added:

“Just as the Brits launch party highlighted a song that reached no higher than number 62 on the UK chart, it really is your own fault if you believe that this Awards show has any connection to anything other than the junk propaganda of the strongest labels gathering to share out awards for their own artists whom they plan to heavily promote in 2015.”

The singer had commented about Madonna on other platforms for various reasons one being her love for fur. According to 24Sizzler Morrissey who is very eco-conscious made comments about Madonna’s adopted son David by saying:

“I wouldn’t be surprised if she [Madonna] made that African boy into a coat and wore him … for 15 minutes, and then threw it away.”

Besides Morrissey who revealed his honest opinions about the Brits and Madonna, Noel Gallagher also spoke his mind about The 1975’s Matt Healy’s most recent win as the best rock/alternative act at the award show. Here’s what Gallagher said:

“I was watching it with my kids, two teenage lads, thinking, ‘Is it me being a grumpy old man, or is this shit?’ They were both going, ‘Oh no, this is f*cking shit.’ The 1975, Best Rock Band? Someone needs to re-define that immediately, because that is… I don’t know what that is, but it’s certainly not f*cking rock. Whatever rock is, that’s not it.”
