Miley Cyrus Covered Nothing Else Matters, Here’s What James Hetfield Thinks About Her

Known for being distant towards pop music more than his bandmates, James Hetfield has shared his opinions about a famous young musician, Miley Cyrus, and her cover of Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters.’

As you may know, thrash metal’s legendary band Metallica released their iconic fifth studio album, ‘Metallica,’ also known as ‘The Black Album,’ in 1991. The album included the best-known songs of the band, such as ‘Enter Sandman,’ ‘The Unforgiven,’ ‘Nothing Else Matters,’ and ‘Sad but True.’ It became Metallica’s best-selling album and the band’s first album to top the album charts.

Back in 2019, the famous pop musician Miley Cyrus surprised her fans as well as rock fans by performing the cover of Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters‘ live at the Glastonbury festival in the U.K. Her performance received mostly positive response from the audience, yet Metallica fans were divided about whether she successfully covered the iconic song of the band or not.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has expressed his opinions about Miley Cyrus which gave an overall idea about whether he enjoyed her performance or not. During an interview with Medium, Hetfield responded to some questions about Cyrus and revealed if he really enjoyed her music. In his response to the question asking if he’s a fan of Miley, James sarcastically stated that she was his favorite artist. When the interviewer asked whether he was serious about enjoying her music, Hetfield replied simply by saying ‘no.’

Here is what James Hetfield stated about whether he is a big fan of Miley Cyrus:

“Absolutely. She’s my favorite.”

When the interviewer asked if James was serious about his response, he said:

No.”
