One of Survivor’s latest episodes has turned into a different kind of competition.
The two competitors of the 46th season of Survivor, Ben Katzman and Charlie Davis, battled over their favorite artists: Metallica and Taylor Swift. During the show, the two passed their time by naming the songs of their favorite artists to see who was a better fan, while the other contestants watched and played the jury. As it appears, it was Davis’ idea to start a music battle:
“I’ve been getting to know Ben really well. He’s like a music savant, so I was like, ‘I’m gonna put my Taylor Swift knowledge head to head against Ben’s Metallica knowledge.”
During the battle, Katzman got stuck when it was time to name the songs from ‘Lulu,’ the Metallica album with Lou Reed.
“We’re getting into the albums I’m not very into. […] Wait, there is the Metallica album with Lou Reed, which is really terrible.”
Metallica’s Response To Katzman’s Comment

Well, Metallica wasn’t happy about Katzman’s comments about their 2011 album. With the Metallica fan’s comment on the ‘terrible album,’ the band went on to comment under the official post, which read:
“We need a word with Ben about these so-called ‘terrible albums.'”
While some fans said that ‘Ben f*cked up’ since Metallica responded to his comments, others complained that the album did actually sound terrible so it should not be a problem.
The small battle ended with Charlie Davis’ victory.
