Maynard James Keenan revealed plans for Puscifer’s upcoming album in an interview with Miami New Times.

“There will be a new Puscifer album in the fall,” Keenan announced.

Keenan shared insights about his experience writing music for multiple bands. “Some bands bring the song to me,” he explained. “But I could bring the same series of chords to each band, and every band will play it differently. A song is going to change when different people play it. Every band has a different voice. If you give a song to Primus and you give the song to Aerosmith, it’s going to sound different.”

Keenan celebrated his 60th birthday with a special performance at Hard Rock Live on May 6, 2024. The show featured A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, and Primus.

This latest announcement marks another significant chapter in Puscifer’s evolving story and Keenan’s diverse musical journey.

Records from Wikipedia show Puscifer’s active presence in the music scene since 2007. The band launched its journey with the debut album ‘”V” Is for Vagina,’ establishing a reputation for experimental and genre-defying music.

The band’s collaborative spirit shone through in their recent work. The 2024 Sessanta E.P.P.P. showcased original songs from Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, and Primus. Keenan co-wrote all tracks on this release.

Keenan’s creative approach has left a distinct mark on each project. His input has enriched different musical styles while maintaining each band’s unique identity.
