Notably, Marilyn turned off comments on his post, directing fans and followers to Five Finger Death Punch’s page for discourse. The latter band also confirmed the tour on their Instagram, excitedly sharing the same poster and tour dates with their audience.

Mixed Reactions From Fans

The announcement has sparked a mixed reaction among fans, evidenced by comments on 5FDP’s post. Some express enthusiastic support, celebrating Manson’s return to live music, while others voice criticism and concern, referencing the serious allegations of abuse leveled against Manson. One person wrote:

“Does anyone actually want to see Manson anymore?”

Another criticism added:

“Going on tour with a rapist? That’s a choice.”

One of the support comments, on the other hand, said:

“This is absolutely awesome! Thank you so much for going on tour with Manson. We can’t wait to have him back!”

Another fan wrote, referring to the criticism against the singer:

“Glad to read all these comments with so many MM fans. A few haters, of course, but whatever… It’s happening.”

Background Of Allegations

This tour announcement comes three years after actress Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused Manson of sexual abuse in a detailed Instagram post. Since then, more than a dozen women have come forward with allegations against Manson, including sexual, emotional, and physical assault.

The music industry reacted quickly, with Manson’s manager, record label, and booking agency severing ties. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department conducted a criminal investigation, the results of which have been forwarded to the district attorney, though decisions on criminal charges have yet to be made public.

Despite these serious allegations and the legal battles that ensued, Manson has denied all claims and has taken legal action against several of his accusers. Some lawsuits have been settled, and others dismissed.

The tour is set to begin on August 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and will conclude on September 19 in Houston, Texas. The announcement has not included details regarding the lineup of Manson’s supporting band, and representatives for both Manson and Five Finger Death Punch have not provided further comments.
