Machine Gun Kelly’s new song featuring Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, “Fix Ur Face,” has sparked rumors among fans about a potential diss directed at Yungblud. Reports from Reddit detailed the controversy.

The controversy centers around specific lyrics that fans believe reference the former Disney actor turned rock musician. The disputed lyrics have led to widespread speculation about the relationship between the two artists.

The lyrics in MGK’s new song ‘Fix Ur Face’ that created rumors read: “Mickey Mouse kids turned rockstars / Leaving private schools, tryna be outlaws. And all the oldheads tryna kill the vibe / But Rock’s not dead as long as I’m alive, so.”

Fan reactions on social media platforms have been mixed. Some interpret the lyrics as a direct reference to Yungblud’s Disney background.

“MGK taking shots at Yungblud in ‘FIX UR FACE’ song. Guess we won’t be seeing anymore collaborations between them,” one Machine Gun Kelly fan commented on Reddit.

Another fan provided additional context about the perceived tension between the artists.

“Yungblud benefited quite a bit by working with MGK then didn’t defend him when people talked negatively of him multiple times on public recorded platforms – at this point I’m surprised it took this long,” the fan noted.

Machine Gun Kelly has since responded to the fan theories circulating online.

“I see one particular line is going over your heads,” Machine Gun Kelly wrote on X.

The artist’s response suggests that fans may be misinterpreting the intended meaning of the controversial lyrics.

The collaboration between MGK and Fred Durst represents a significant moment in the nu-metal revival. It brings together two artists from different generations of alternative rock.

Kerrang reported that MGK debuted “Fix Ur Face” live at Perth’s RAC Arena on April 8. He told fans, “I called up my friend Fred Durst. I said, ‘Sir, drop something on this.’ What he dropped, the rest is history.” The track fuses ’90s nu-metal grit with MGK’s alternative sound. This creates a bridge between different eras of rock music.

The song’s production showcases the distinctive elements that made both artists successful in their respective careers. Kerrang noted that Fred Durst opens the track by announcing it’s “time to turn this motherfucker up.” This immediately establishes the aggressive tone that defines the collaboration.

The timing of the release coincides with MGK’s ongoing tour activities. Blabbermouth revealed that MGK first teased “Fix Ur Face” during the European leg of the “Lost Americana” tour. He officially performed a snippet of the single on his just-wrapped tour dates.

The collaboration has generated mixed reactions from critics and fans alike. Revolver Magazine described the partnership as bringing together the iconic nu-metal veteran with the rap, rock and punk chameleon Machine Gun Kelly. They characterized it as a “raucous” collaboration that showcases both artists’ ability to adapt to contemporary rock trends.
