Lzzy Hale Wishes Halestorm To ‘Officially’ Work With Skindred

Halestorm recently re-recorded a track from their 2022 album, ‘Back From The Dead,’ for a collaboration with Ashley McBryde. The singer was not the first person the band worked with and apparently will not be the last, as Lzzy Hale mentioned her desire to work with Skindred in a recent interview with Rock Sound.

Talking about the relationship between the two bands, the vocalist said:

“Honestly, I worked with a lot of people on this lineup. You know, we’ve either toured together, or I’ve done a collaboration. Now, I will say that I am reunited with my dear friends in Skindred today. We’ve known those guys for years and still haven’t done an official collaboration yet. So, I’m hoping to kind of grease the wheel on that.”

While considering these potential collaborations, Halestorm is simultaneously working on their next studio album. Bassist Josh Smith, in an interview with The Sound Lab, confirmed the band’s meeting with a secret name for their upcoming record.

Answering a question about whether work started on their new project, Smith shared:

“Yes, it has. When we were just home, we spent a week with someone who I’m not sure I’m at liberty to say. So I’m just gonna keep it hush for now. I try my best not to speak out of turn, which means I usually don’t speak a lot. But yes, we’re working on new music.”
