Lzzy Hale Says She Has Three Writing Stations As She Gives An Insight On How To Be Creative

Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale posted a picture of herself on her Instagram account which was taken at one of her three writing stations and explained her personal method to be more creative while writing new music.

As many rock music fans would know, Lzzy Hale founded Halestorm along with her brother Arejay back in 1997. Their father also joined them to play bass with the band. In the 2000s, Halestorm composed their latest lineup which consisted of vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her brother drummer Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bassist Josh Smith.

Earlier in 2018, Halestorm released their fourth studio album titled ‘Vicious‘ which managed to reach number eight on the Billboard 200. In 2020, the band released an EP, ‘Reimagined,’ which involved six songs. Their album also included several reworked songs of the band, one of which was a collaboration with Evanescence vocalist Amy Lee.

Through the pictures and open letters she posts on social media platforms, Lzzy Hale has been hinting at new music she has been working on. Previously during a Q&A session with her fans, Lzzy mentioned that they might release a single from the new Halestorm album depending on the developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic. Hale’s latest Instagram post once again excited her fans about the possibility of hearing new songs from the band soon.

In her recent Instagram post, Lzzy Hale shared a picture of herself while working on some new music at one of the three writing stations in her house. In the caption of her post, Lzzy mentioned that she had three writing stations each with a ‘different vibe, personality, and purpose.’ Hale stated that having a certain space at her house where she only goes to be creative was really important as a songwriter.

Apparently, since she was young, Lzzy has been going to her ‘sacred space’ to create and make her art. Hale said that in a way she trained her body and mind to automatically click into that creative mode when she goes to her writing stations. Her latest picture from one of her writing stations made the Halestorm fans quite excited about the possibility of hearing some new songs from the band.

Here is what Lzzy Hale stated in the caption of her post:

“The muse is pulling at my hair again. This is my upstairs writing station. I have three writing stations in the house. Each with a different vibe, personality, and purpose. I think I love this one the most lately. Mornings are different than nights. And it’s all about sitting down, strapping in, and being open to all of the surprises, happy accidents, and rabbit holes.

As a songwriter, it’s important to have a room/corner/ place in your home where you Only go to be creative. A brilliant friend of mine gave me this advice when I was young, and I’ve been doing it ever since. Because when you give yourself a sacred space to create… and continually go there to Only to make your art…you are actually training your creative ‘response.’

In time … your body and mind will automatically click into that creative mode when you sit down at your personal station. Thought I’d share!! Keep warm and May rock gods smile upon thee this evening!!”
