Lynyrd Skynyrd Will Be Back On Stage Soon With The Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ Tour

The famous rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd has announced on their official Instagram page that they are planning to go on a tour named ‘Big Wheels Keep On Turnin.’ The news arrived after more than 15 months since the band’s final tour has been paused due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As you might know, Lynyrd Skynyrd had planned to go on a ‘Last of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour’ last year. As the pandemic conditions got intense, their farewell tour also had been cut short, and the tour had been canceled. Since then, they performed on their first live show last weekend on the opening night of Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam in Florida on June 4.

After the concert album they released last year documenting their farewell tour named ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd: Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour Lyve!,’ Lynyrd Skynyrd has also released their ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd: Live at Knebworth ‘76’ in April, documenting their live performance from Knebworth Festival in 1976.

Apparently, they have changed the delayed tour’s name to ‘Big Wheels Keep on Turnin” and decided to get back on the road. Starting from June 13 and ending on November 19, the tour will be opened by Tesla on most dates, and on several shows, Kansas, Blackberry Smoke, Marshall Tucker Band, Joan Jett, and the Blackhearts, and the Allman Betts Band will also appear. The tickets for the tour are now available online.

According to the Instagram post shared by Lynyrd Skynyrd, they announced Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ Tour with 13 brand new shows going on sale this Friday, and presale begins on June 9 with code ‘Skynyrdbigwheels.’ The post added that many more dates are already on sale, and more information can be found in the tour section on their official website.

The post read:

“Announcing the Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ Tour with 13 brand new Skynyrd shows going on sale this Friday! Want to grab your tickets before anyone else? Presale begins tomorrow at 10 am local with code: Skynyrdbigwheels. Many more dates already on sale.”
