Foreigner is set to welcome back two of its founding members for a handful of dates on its ongoing 50th anniversary tour. Original singer Lou Gramm and keyboardist Al Greenwood will each join the band for select performances, though not at the same time.
“Original Foreigner members and band cofounders Lou Gramm and Al Greenwood will play select shows with the group on their current tour,” the announcement reads. “The singer and keyboardist will join the group on several dates on their 50th anniversary tour, though they won’t appear together at the same shows.”
Gramm’s return dates have already been confirmed. He is scheduled to perform with Foreigner from February 21–25, 2027, at the Rock Legends Cruise in Miami, FL. He will then join the band from March 10–20, 2027, at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, NV.
Al Greenwood’s comeback, however, begins much sooner. The founding keyboardist will rejoin the band for five shows in 2026, starting September 18 in Macon, Georgia. Those dates come well ahead of his 2027 appearances.
Greenwood’s return continues into next spring. He is set to reunite with the band again during Foreigner’s New York-area 50th anniversary run. That leg includes an April 27 show at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The performance marks a homecoming of sorts for the band, which was founded in the city back in 1976.
Gramm’s participation carries added weight given his recent history with touring. The singer had previously stepped back from the road, framing his departure as a farewell to life on stage.
“After more than 50 years, now feels like the right time to step away from the stage,” Gramm said at the time.
His scheduled return for the Rock Legends Cruise and Venetian Resort shows in 2027 makes this all the more significant. It offers fans what may be a rare opportunity to see the original frontman perform with Foreigner again as the band celebrates half a century since its formation.
