Lorraine Lewis Announces Sudden Split With Vixen After 5 Years

Vixen split ways with their 5-year vocalist Lorraine Lewis.

The singer shared the news on her Instagram account with the following statement:

“Vixen Tribe and devoted fans: The band has taken a different direction, and as much as I will miss you please know that more Rock & Roll from me is on the way!”

She thanked her band members and assured fans that she wasn’t going anywhere:

“It has been an honor to front the band since that first show in 2019 & I am forever grateful for the opportunity and memories that came with it! I’ve had the time of my life and have loved rockin’ with ALL of you! I can’t wait to rock your faces off again soon because trust me babes, I’m not going anywhere! I love you.”

Lewis’ Join To The Band

In January 2019, Vixen brought Lewis on board as their new lead singer after Janet Gardner left the band.

Before Lewis joined Vixen, she filled in for Gardner during a gig in March 2018 in Oklahoma while she was recovering from surgery.

Before her addition to the lineup, drummer Roxy Petrucci, bassist Share Ross, and guitarist Britt Lightning said they would ‘expand upon the Vixen legacy while remaining true to our musical roots.’

Even though the rest of the band hasn’t spoken out about parting ways with Lewis, they are gearing up for a busy tour coming up.

An Upcoming Collaboration

After Lorraine announced she was leaving Vixen, she shared that she was teaming up with Lou Gramm, the original vocalist of Foreigner. She wrote on her social media accounts:

“What an amazing week it has been working with the Legendary Lou Gramm! I am so honored & grateful & we have been having so much fun! There is still much to do on the track but our vocals are in the can. Stay Tuned. More to come!! Happy Sunday Funday!! XOXO. Love, L.”
