Chester Bennington struggled with addiction and mental health problems for many years. Even though he battled his addictions, his severe depression probably caused his early death. Unfortunately, Bennington committed suicide on July 20, 2017, but he left us some old footage in which he talked about his passions and interests. In one of the question and answer events that he participated in, Chester Bennington revealed his favorite TV shows of all time. Hence, he started with ‘Hannibal,’ which is a psychological horror-thriller that reflects the complicated relationship and struggle between FBI special investigator Will Graham and Dr. Hannibal Lecter. He defined the show as a ‘disgusting glory,‘ but it was canceled after three seasons, although it had attracted great attention.

Bennington added that he liked watching another horror-thriller drama named ‘Bates Motel,’ which is based on the ‘Psycho’ villain Norman Bates’ backstory. He also mentioned ‘Following’ but added that neo-Western crime drama ‘Breaking Bad’ should be on top of his list with its well-crafted scenario and storytelling. The story explores Walter White’s life in prison, a chemistry teacher who had to find a way to leave a fortune to his family after his recent diagnosis of stage-three lung cancer.

Furthermore, the Linkin Park icon highlighted that his other favorite TV show is ‘Battlestar Galactica’ as one of the best science fiction TV series of all time. Bennington emphasized that the series must have been longer than four seasons, but it couldn’t continue due to the problems during the 2007–2008 Writers Guild strike. Consequently, it seems that the singer is primarily interested in crime dramas and great space adventures.

In Bennington’s words, he said:

“We can eat on the road so I watch a lot of TV shows. Right now, one of my favorite shows is ‘Hannibal.’ It’s probably one of the most beautifully shot TV shows of all time, it’s just disgusting, just disgusting glory. However, my favorite show of all time… I’d have to say the most fulfilling series has been ‘Breaking Bad.

I have a lot of shows that I really liked ‘Battlestar Galactica.’ I don’t know if you guys watch that one. It came out ten years ago. They had four seasons and they shut it down right as the writers union strike happened but probably went down as an all-time favorite TV show. It was amazing even though they shut it down fast. It’s still a great series. ‘Bates Motel’ is great. If there’s a serial killer, I watch it. Another one is ‘Following,’ some just said something has to stand out for me.”
