Liam Gallagher recently talked about a possible Oasis and Blur tour on X.

The singer responded to a fan who suggested Blur should be their opening act, writing about his former rivals, “I love blur and at sone point we have to do n old dears tours.”

He then appeared to ask fans what they thought, saying: “Richard Ashcroft or Manic street preachers as support,” before adding, “The manics it is.”

Still, he continued by writing, “Only kidding we never set sail without the 1 and only RICARDO he’s our boy from day DOT come aboard Rkid.”

Fans are wondering who will open for Oasis at their reunion shows after reports last month that Liam is looking for ‘well-known acts.’ So far, Cage The Elephant is opening for all the North American dates.

Earlier this year, a fan asked on Twitter/X if Richard Ashcroft would support Oasis in 2025, and Liam replied, “That would be BIBLICAL.” Besides Blur, Gallagher also mentioned that Ashcroft and Manic Street Preachers could join the tour.

In the mid-1990s, Britpop was the most popular music in the UK, with Blur and Oasis leading the genre. In 1995, Oasis and Blur had a famous rivalry called ‘The Battle of Britpop.’ Both bands released singles on the same day, with Blur’s ‘Country House’ beating Oasis’ ‘Roll With It’ in sales.

However, Oasis’ album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ later became more successful, selling over 22 million copies worldwide. Oasis also won more awards at the 1995 Brit Awards.

Liam may still have issues with Damon Albarn, but Noel and Albarn became friends. In 2017, Noel appeared on Gorillaz’s album ‘Humanz,’ a band also created by Albarn. “We don’t talk about our past, we talk about our present,” Albarn spoke about his friend in an interview. “I value my friendship with Noel because he is one of the only people who went through what I did in the Nineties.”

The Oasis Live ’25 Tour will kick off on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales. Then, they will perform in Manchester and London.
