Oasis’ Liam Gallagher is mad that Mariah Carey has been inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Gallagher, nominated for this year’s class with his Oasis bandmates, openly expressed disdain for artists who haven’t recorded songs in the rock genre and resembled it to including him in the rap genre. He stated:
“As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: do me a favor and f*ck off. It’s like putting me in the rap hall of fame, and I don’t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed. Besides, I’ve done more for rock n’ roll than half of them clowns on that board. So it’s all a load of bollocks.”
Who Is Taking Place In This Year’s Hall Of Fame?

The list of nominees for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame comprises Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B. & Rakim, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sinead O’Connor, Ozzy Osbourne, Sade, and A Tribe Called Quest.
The nominees were revealed earlier this month. Ten out of the 15 nominees are making their first appearance on the ballot, including Carey, Cher, Kravitz, Osbourne, Sade, and the late O’Connor.
Gallagher Says Hall Of Fame Is A Bunch Of ‘Bumbaclarts’

Despite being on the shortlist for potential induction in 2024, Gallagher strongly implied that he is not keen on receiving such an honor. In a tweet he shared earlier, the rocker stated that the Hall Of Fame was ‘full of bumbaclarts.’
Additionally, when an Oasis fan page pointed out that the band was losing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination, and also expressed indifference to Gallagher’s opinion on the matter, Gallagher responded:
“Don’t waste your time kid as much as it’s appreciated it’s all a load of bollox.”
The Hall Of Fame is not one of Gallagher’s main interests, as it seems.
